- Using too many fonts – Keep it simple use 1 or 2 fonts for better readability.
- Not enough contrast between text and backgrounds – The greater the contrast the easier it is to read your content.
- Making text too small – If your readers struggle to read your content they’re not going to read it. Do not make your type smaller than 8pt especially when you’re using reversed text.
- Using too many colors – Don’t overwhelm your readers with color. A little color goes a long way.
- Using the wrong font for the audience – Fonts have personality. If you’re a lawyer you’re going to use a more conservative font than a tech company or a daycare.
