5 Reasons Why You NEED a Rebrand

When was the last time you gave your brand a makeover? Rebranding can be way more beneficial and important to your company than you might think. Sprucing up your brand can bring in new customers, engage those you are already have, align your business to personal philosophies, and overall make your brand a crucial driving force in your company.

Rebranding can be a bit of a daunting task and may not seem important enough to spend the time and money on. But, before you throw out the idea all together, here are 5 reasons why you NEED a rebrand.

  1. Your brand looks like everyone else’s.
When you design your brand, you want it to be unique. You want it to represent what you and your company stand for. Taking some time to differentiate yourself from your competitors will not only show your customers why your business is different, but why your brand is the best choice. You want your brand identity to have meaning. Making sure you have a style that is distinct to your company shows your customers that they will be getting an experience different from others. Tailoring your brands aesthetic to your companies personal style will draw in clients with that same aesthetic and beliefs, creating an engaged and consistent clientele.

  2. You want to engage a new audience.
When you want to grow your client base, getting a rebrand will help to engage new customers by giving you a fresh, exciting face. A rebrand is key to expanding your business and will help reign in that clientele you weren’t quite connecting with before. Building upon your old brand by spicing it up keeps your brand on trend, showing you are in touch with the needs of your customers. Sometimes brands struggle to connect with younger generations. Getting a new pair of eyes with a rebrand can bring some new insight into how to engage not only your existing audience, but one you haven’t been appealing to.You want to make sure you get to know the type of audience you are looking to engage. By doing this, you can then create an elevator pitch that is geared towards this new clientele. Make sure you can explain why someone wants your product in 30 seconds or less. Your business thrives off more than just an image. Engaging a new audience means researching them and knowing how to verbally appeal to their wants.
  1. You’ve adapted your philosophy and your brand doesn’t reflect your values.
Nowadays, many people look for brands that align with their own values. Updating your philosophies is important because it attracts the type of audience geared towards your brand. If your branding fails to incorporate this, you could lose out on some valuable customers. A rebrand makes sure that your company is outwardly showing what you want people to see. If values and company philosophy are important to you, then a rebrand is the next step in making your customers know that.Make sure your brand is more than just your logo. Before you can create a solid visual representation of your brand, you need to know how to communicate your mission and values. One way to make your philosophies attract the customers you want is to make your company slogan represents your values. You can do this by asking yourself who, what, how, and why. Who are you looking to attract? What is your purpose?  How do you want to accomplish this?  Why are you doing what you do? This guarantees you have a solidified statement about your business. You can then make your logo to represent this statement, and make a slogan that sums up these values.
  1. Your brand is outdated, and you’ve outgrown it.
This is probably one of the top reasons for a rebrand. If your brand is failing to bring in new buzz, then it may be outdated. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean you need a while new design, just something to refresh what you already have. Keeping your brand up to date ensures it represents you and manifests the type of clients you want to bring in.You may have outgrown your brand if you find it isn’t working for you anymore. When you reach a new level with your business, you need a rebrand to help keep things efficient. Often, having an outdated design will hinder you from making progress. Whether you are gaining traction fast and your website can no longer serve your needs, or you can’t seem to grow your numbers, a rebrand will help make your brand work for you. Having a design that is no longer effective will force your customers to turn to someone who is more efficient. Altering your brand to the needs of your clientele is important in keeping your audience engaged and interested.
  1. You’ve merged with another brand.
If your company is merging with another, a rebrand will help the process go over smoothly. When you combine companies, you often have different ideas from each brand. Taking the time to rebrand will help merge the best parts. Getting a remodel at the start will help lay out how the two fit together, creating cohesiveness as you integrate. If you truly want businesses to fuse together, a rebrand is essential. As your business undergoes change and expansion, you need to be able to change and grow with it.
